Getting Braces is Affordable

Is 10,000RMB enough to fix my teeth? Will 20,000RMB cover the costs? During dental inquiries this is the most frequently asked questions by patients. But in fact, for those who want to fix their teeth on a budget it is still possible.

After hearing the costs for braces the first thing that comes to mind for patients is the costs. Why are braces so expensive? You don’t have the money for braces? So can you still get braces even if you’re tight on a money budget?

Are you really short of money?
Are you really living on a budget or are you just bad at budgeting yourself? Something to think about carefully, a lot of patients actually can afford to get their teeth treated but spend their money on other aspects which they think are more worth their value or they spend money that they don’t think about and then at the end of the month they find their budget is completely blown. Fixing your teeth is affordable you just have to budget carefully.

You can pay for braces in installments
Orthodontic treatment is not as expensive as most patients think. For example traditional braces cost approximately between 10,000 RMB to 20,000 RMB. Even if you don’t have savings but each month if you budget well enough with your wages and save over a few months you will have the money for orthodontic treatment.

More importantly you can pay for braces in installments, which means you don’t need to make the full payment all in the one go. The first payment you make is only a proportion of the total payment. The remaining payments for the braces are made with each appointment you attend. Orthodontic treatment usually takes 1 to 2 years, so with payments being made across this time schedule and making payments only when you come in for appointments it’s affordable for most people.

Therefore, if you want your teeth straightened and living on a limited budged, you can contact us for more information and our professional orthodontists will tailor a treatment plan that fits in with your budget and paying in installments.

A lot of parents have expressed their view that pediatric dentistry costs are expensive in Shenzhen and are worried they are paying more than the need for their children’s dental care. So exactly just how much should you be paying?

Parents are probably the most anxious when they hear that their child needs a tooth extracted. Is tooth extraction really scary? It really depends on which tooth is being removed and how complicated the extraction is and this directly affects the costs.

Tooth Extraction in Children?
Professional dental clinics will have pediatric dentists and nurses and they will use a variety of fun and other methods to get the child to cooperate with the tooth extraction. Parents usually don't need to worry too much. Moreover, during the process of tooth extraction, the doctor's movements will be more gentle and the procedure has local anesthesia so there is basically no pain.

Costs of Child Tooth Extraction in Shenzhen?
Currently, child tooth extraction is quite common for example when permanent teeth start growing in before the milk teeth are lost, serious cavities, tooth damage which results in a loose tooth all require tooth extractions. Costs for extractions can start at a few hundred Yuan.

An example of complicated extractions would be embedded supernumerary teeth this type of extraction is complex and of course the prices is more expensive. This type of extraction can range from a few hundred Yuan to over a thousand Yuan. Also extracting supernumerary teeth requires a pediatric dentist with great skills and techniques.

Root Canal Treatment is Expensive?

Is 2,000 RMB expensive for root canal treatment? In fact the current cost of root canal treatment is generally several thousand Yuan, this price is relatively average. However, it is recommended that you know what is included in the treatment price.

Root canal treatment is much more expensive than the ordinary cavity filling, that is why many patients are worried about visiting a dental clinic as it’s very expensive.

How Expensive is Root Canal Treatment?
Generally speaking, the current cost of root canal treatment is approximately 2,000 Yuan to 3,000 Yuan. With an average cost of 2,000 Yuan for treatment this is considered a reasonable price. Root canal treatment involves many aspects so we advise that patients understand the treatment process and the costs involved before going ahead with the treatment. Below are some of the questions you should ask during a consultation appointment:

1. With root canal treatment there is a choice between traditional root canal treatment and microscopic root canal treatment. The latter is more expensive due to the use of microscopic equipment.

2. Root canal treatment will require patients to have CT scans done before, during and after the treatment. Patients will have between 3 to 4 CT scans taken, therefore we advise that you ask whether the costs of the CT scans are included in the treatment plan.

3. You need root canal treatment carried out again on the same tooth, do you need to pay extra this time? Is there extra costs for anesthetic and rubber dam isolation?

4. Is the costs of a filling or dental posts for a crown included in the treatment or needs to be paid for separately?

5. Do costs vary for treating a front tooth and back tooth? Are costs based on per tooth or how          many teeth require treatment? How much extra is needed for treating extra teeth?

Costs of Fillings & Tooth Extractions Included in Orthodontic Treatment?

During your orthodontic consultation, your orthodontist will devise a treatment plan for your teeth. Whether this treatment requires extraction of teeth, fillings or other treatments your orthodontist will give you a price estimation.

Extra Costs for Extractions & Fillings?
Generally speaking before carrying out the orthodontic treatment the orthodontist will tell you which treatments will be carried out and detailing costs. This means that any costs incurred for extractions, fillings, scale and polish or periodontal treatment you will be told in advance.

Different clinics and stomatological hospitals will have different fees and policies. Some dental clinics include fillings and tooth extractions in their orthodontic treatment prices whereas other clinics charge for each treatment separately. Therefore, during consultations it’s best to ask the orthodontist about costs and what is included in the treatment and what needs to be paid for separately.

Strictly speaking tooth extractions and fillings are not usually done by orthodontists, for example tooth extractions require patients to be referred to oral surgeons and fillings need to be carried out by a general dentist or the department of endodontics. So it is understandable that for treatment of cavities and extractions before orthodontic treatment that these costs are not covered.

Tip: Before going through with any type of treatment, it’s best to go through a consultation with the clinic or stomatological hospital to ensure they are professional and treatment costs are discussed.

Difference Between Dental Inlays & Veneers

Dental inlays and veneers are both methods of repairing a tooth. But in fact, there are big differences between the two methods, and there are differences in materials, production methods and indications.

Therefore, it is recommended that you choose a treatment plan suitable for you. As one of the methods of tooth repair, a lot of patients have probably not heard of a dental inlay or a veneer, so what exactly are they? What’s the difference?

Dental Inlay
The difference between inlays and traditional dental fillings is that dental inlays are used only to fill in the space between the rounded edges of the tooth, at the center of its chewing surface. Dental inlays fill in a tooth that is too damaged to be considered for a filling but not severe enough for a crown. Once the decay has been removed, cleaned and disinfected a mold of the tooth will be taken to create the inlay. The inlay is essentially a filling to restore the tooth, once the inlay is complete it will put into place and cemented with few adjustments being made.

Veneers
a veneer is a layer of material placed over a tooth, veneers protect the tooth's surface from damage. Repairing a tooth with a veneer requires a small amount of enamel to be removed before the composite or porcelain veneers can be fitted.

Inlays vs. Veneers
1. Inlays are usually made of different shapes and are done according to different defects and damage of the tooth. Whereas porcelain veneers covers the surface of the tooth.

2. There is also a difference in materials, inlays can be made of metal or porcelain in comparison to veneers that usually only come in composite or porcelain.

3. Dental inlays are usually used to repair the occlusal surface of the teeth, while veneers are used to repair the surface of the teeth.

4. Porcelain inlays and porcelain veneers are usually custom made and then bonded to the tooth but composite resin veneers are usually directly repairable.

Which Type of Dental Crown is Best?

What’s the difference between porcelain dental crowns and porcelain fused metal crowns? Generally speaking in terms of aesthetics porcelain crowns are more natural as it does not contain any metals so it provides the most natural look.

A dental implant is the closest to a real tooth substitute and is made of several components. One complete dental implant has artificial root, abutment and the crown and the majority of dental implant costs include the components mentioned. However, the difference in price is down to difference in materials used for the dental implant.

The prices of implant vary due to different brands and each brand has its unique craftsmanship and choice of materials. As for the crown it usually comes with the implant and there is a choice of a porcelain fused metal crown or porcelain crown.

Difference Between Porcelain Fused to Metal & Porcelain Crowns

Porcelain fused to metal crowns is where the inner layer is made of metal and the outer material is porcelain. Once fitted the crown looks like a natural tooth, however under a bright light, the underlying metal will have a dark shadow and over a period of time a dark line may be visible especially along the gum line as the gum recedes.

As for all porcelain crowns, the whole crown is made of porcelain and does not contain any metals and is the most natural looking. However, if the implant you have chosen is paired with porcelain fused to metal crown then you will have to pay extra to change for an all porcelain crown.
